Elimu Yetu Development Organization (EYDO) is an nonprofit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) providing free education to children, youth, and adults in Tanzania. Elimu Yetu is registered in Tanzania under the NGO Act of 2002 with registration number: 00NGO/R/0592.
Elimu Yetu Development Organization has been recognized as a tax exempt charitable organization by Tanzania Revenue Authority. Donations are tax deductible in the United Republic of Tanzania up to 2% of personal or business income. In the United States, you can support our work with a tax deductible donation through Charities Aid Foundation America . All donations and assets of the organization are dedicated to charitable and educational purposes only in perpetuity.
Disrespectful, violent, or inappropriate behavior may result in being permanently banned from participating at Elimu Yetu. Participants must follow all rules and instructions of Elimu Yetu staff and teachers.
Parents of students in the preschool and afterschool programs are REQUIRED to sign up for Volunteer Duty.
Parents of preschool students are expected to purchase a uniform (orange and black).
Participants grant Elimu Yetu Development Organization permission to use their images, videos, and recordings for promotional purposes without compensation.
Participants acknowledge the risks of participating in Elimu Yetu Programs and release the organization, sponsors, staff, and volunteers from any liability for injuries or claims related to their participation.
Participants under 18 require parental consent, with parents or guardians accepting these terms on behalf of their children.
